Are you in town for the Chicago Dental Midwinter Meeting? Here the top 3 Chicago attractions worth visiting on your trip.
1. Millennium Park
No visit to Chicago would be complete without a stop at Millennium Park. When you hear about a friend visiting Chicago, chances are you will see a photo of them next to the Crown Fountain and the Cloud Gate, better known as “The Bean.” This is with good reason. Designed by Spanish artist Jaume Plensa, the Crown Fountain features two 50-foot towers facing off against each other across a shallow reflecting pool. British artist Anish Kapoor created cloud Gate, a110-ton bean-shaped sculpture forged from stainless steel. The Bean’s elliptical shape reflects the Chicago skyline making for a great site. Also open during the show is the McCormick Tribune Ice Rink in the middle of the park, which would make a great activity after the show each day. The ice rink is open Mondays-Thursdays, 12 Noon—8pm Fridays, 12 Noon—10pm and Saturdays 10am—10pm. Millennium Park is open daily and is free to the public.
