American HealthCare Lending (AHCL) will be showcasing its cosmetic surgery financing platform at the 2015 American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, (AACS) Annual Meeting. This prestigious event will take place January 14-17 in New Orleans and will feature world-class keynote speakers, groundbreaking education, and cutting-edge exhibits. American HealthCare Lending will explain how it helps Make Healthcare Affordable™ by providing financing to those facing large out-of-pocket plastic surgery expenses.
“We’re excited to discuss our cosmetic and plastic surgery financing program at AACS. We know we can help close the affordability gap for patients seeking treatment, which will allow surgeons to help more patients, perform more procedures and significantly increase practice revenue,” explains Graham Anderson, EVP of Marketing at American HealthCare Lending.
Affordability for cosmetic and plastic surgery has often been a challenge for patients because few procedures are covered by insurance, but a new challenge has emerged with the Affordable Care Act for those procedures that are covered by insurance. High deductible health plans are becoming more widespread. A new survey from the Commonwealth Fund (PDF) found that three in five low-income adults and about half of adults with moderate incomes believe their deductibles are “difficult or impossible to afford.”
This problem has created a new market that surgeons need to be aware of. Cosmetic and plastic surgery financing from AHCL makes treatment possible for patients who are facing high out of pocket responsibility from high deductibles or self-pay.
In addition to helping the provider perform more procedures, AHCL is also committed to making the program more affordable for the provider. Anderson explains, “This industry is used to high-interest credit cards that charge the clinic 3-15% every time they use the financing service. At AHCL, we charge absolutely no fees per funded loan.”
Representatives from American HealthCare Lending will be attending the conference to answer any questions, and will be located at booth #700
